Read about our program from parent, staff and volunteer perspectives.
At Easter Seals CDC, highly skilled teaching staff and support staff foster the early education experience of all children in a loving environment with adult to child ratios that ensure every child receives individualized attention. The teachers at Easter Seals are a strong community of educators and life long learners who share a common love for what they do and are invested in providing exceptional care to the families they serve. Their skills are enhanced through their partnerships with families, affiliation with professional organizations, collaborative efforts and participation in trainings and courses focused on best practices in early care and education. Check out the CDC Monthly Newsletter to learn more about what the classrooms are up to and what is included in the Parent Bulletin Board!
As a part of the Keystone STARS Quality Initiative Program we provide an enriching curriculum that evokes learning through play which is a child’s most natural means of interacting with their environment. Since moving to a larger, more spacious facility in June 2006 we have been able to expand our services to include infants and young toddlers in addition to the 2 - 5 year old population we have served over the years. At the CDC children are afforded the opportunity to explore their spacious classrooms, participate in small and large group activities, expend their energy on the playground or while riding bikes and so much more.
Diversity is also a valued and celebrated element of our program. Children learn from peers in this rich environment and develop a strong sense of acceptance and understanding of differences. Children from a variety of socio-economic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds and with varying abilities attend Easter Seals Child Development Center. As a non-profit organization, we strive to provide the highest-quality services at costs that are affordable to all families.

Easter Seals CDC also maintains a partnership with the Central Intermediate Unit #10 (CIU #10). The CIU #10 provides services including occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy and vision services to children with developmental delays. Children who attend the CDC and have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) will receive their related services as a part of the school day. The CIU #10 follows a stretch calendar through the school year. To see when services are offered please refer to the CIU #10 2009 2010 School Calendar.
